Today, a financial review of any corporate aircraft budget reveals that the single largest expense of operating an airplane is aviation fuel. While not as dramatic in years past, with the rapid rise in fuel costs over the last few years the proper management of this major line item has become one of the great discriminators between aircraft management companies.

The Air Group´s response to the efficient management of this major cost center was to design and develop a comprehensive fuel buying program, combining our aircraft management clients with outside commercial clients to gain the economies of scale needed to reduce costs. Modeled after the traditional "co-op" style of buying, bringing many, many aircraft together allows us to buy fuel on a scale not before seen in our industry. In addition, we established a new fuel operations center, managed by Mike Ross, that is dedicated in obtaining the lowest cost of fuel possible for all Air Group clients.

This 24/7 team of specialists constantly tracks fuel costs and directs our flight operations command center to discount fuel locations all over the world. Further development of this program has led to the establishment of "preferred provider" programs which include co-branded fuel credit cards that guarantee that our clients receive our pre-negotiated discounts and superior service, whether it is with a preferred FBO directly, with the fuel wholesaler or received directly from one of the major oil companies.
